Shayla Auld is the Communications Coordinator, Project Coordinator, and Graphic Designer for the POLIS Wildfire Resilience Project. 

Shayla grew up on the traditional territory of the Anishnaabeg and Fort William First Nation, and always felt deeply connected to the fresh water and boreal landscapes that surrounded her. She brings the POLIS Wildfire team a wealth of knowledge and passion for community education, natural resources management, event facilitation, project organization, photography, videography, and graphic design. Graduating from Lakehead University’s Environmental Management program with a specialization in Sustainable Land Use, she developed a deep understanding of innovative forestry practices, wildfire ecology, and wildlife conservation. Following her undergraduate studies, she graduated from North Island College’s Communications & Design Program and launched her own design business, Cetadora Graphic Design Studio, equipping her with the skills and pathways necessary to uplift change-makers and communities through effective storytelling and multimedia design.
