University crest guidelines

Access university crest files on the downloads page.

Format

Consider the shape of the space you are working with and use either the horizontal or vertical format accordingly.

Size

Minimum size

  • horizontal crest: the width of the full crest logo should be at least 1.1” for print and 79 pixels for web
  • vertical crest: the height of the full crest logo should be at least 0.6" for print and 43 pixels for web

Maximum size

As a general rule for print pieces, make sure the shield element isn't wider than 10 per cent of the page's width.

Colour

In most instances, use the blue crest.

Use the black crest in black and white work and the reverse (white) crest on dark or colour backgrounds.

Spacing

To reduce clutter and crowding, leave a rectangular space around the crest.

The minimum distance between the crest and any other element should be equal to the height of the V in Victoria.
