Research centres

Hitatchi STEHM microscope — The Advanced Microscopy Facility (AMF) provides electron microscopy support for the research developed in the Centre, and is home to the Hitachi HF-3300V scanning transmission electron holography microscope (STEHM), one of the highest resolution microscopes in the world.

Research centres and organizations enhance connections among different academic areas on campus, promote partnerships with external organizations, and provide training opportunities for students. UVic Science faculty collaborate in the centres listed below.
