As the first point of contact for our department, I answer general departmental inquiries and provide administrative support to faculty, instructors, students, and visitors to the department. I am responsible for distributing departmental communication to students, support event planning and advertisement of courses and events.
As the Graduate and Undergraduate Program Assistant, I work closely with the graduate, undergraduate and honours advisors to provide administrative assistance to current and prospective students in regards to registration and program information and to instructors in regards to students’ paperwork (grade changes, deferrals, audit etc). I also monitor progress of our students during their studies, schedule defenses and exams, provide support with admission and registration and hire TAs and RAs.
