Welcome, Allison Eccleston

Allison Eccleston as joined the Faculty of Social Sciences as the Post-Award Coordinator. Allison has a diverse range of experiences, demonstrating strong skills in administration, research, and project management. She joins us from the Union of BC Indian Chiefs where she worked as the Finance and Administrative Coordinator, supporting office administration, meeting planning, budget management, grant administration, and staff coordination.

Allison also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Victoria, contributing to projects like "Four Stories About Food Sovereignty," where she led educational resource creation and social media management. Additional experiences include assisting with Métis Nation projects, coordinating construction projects, and working in medical office administration. Allison completed both her BA in History and Philosophy at UVic, and a master’s in history also from UVic; her thesis focused on Indigenous-Crown relationships through the study of cultural artifacts. We welcomed Allison to our office research support team on April 15, 2025.
