Grad photos at convocation

Onstage

Two photos of you will be taken as you cross the stage. Proofs from your convocation ceremony will be emailed to you by Artona within two weeks of convocation.

  • the first is a candid photo taken as you reach the Chancellor/President
  • the second is a posed photo taken side stage after you cross the stage and before you return to your seat

Don't want your photo taken? You can note this when you register to attend your ceremony.

Grad Studio

Portrait sessions will be available at the Welcome Centre in the Jamie Cassels Centre during convocation, November 10 & 12, 2025. These individual and family grad photos are accommodated on a first come, first serve basis; no appointment is required.

Pre-booked appointments will also be available on campus in the Jamie Cassels Centre, Room A183, between November 14 - 16, 2025. To book online, for these specific dates, click the button below!

Pop-up photo studio

Appointments will be available on campus in the Jamie Cassels Centre on select dates in March 2026.

Other grad portrait options

Would you prefer to hire your own photographer or have friends and family take photos of you before or after your scheduled convocation day? You can rent regalia from the UVic Bookstore and bring it to your photographer of choice.
