At CORE, we believe that fostering a culture of collaboration, community and teamwork is vital to creating an enriching and supportive learning environment for students and tutors alike.

Our tutors are not only educators but also key contributors to a collective effort that values mutual respect, shared learning, and open communication.

Tutor guidelines

As part of the CORE team, tutors are expected to:

Embrace Teamwork

Work closely with fellow tutors, staff, and the coordinator to develop and implement effective teaching strategies. Sharing insights, resources, and experiences strengthens our collective ability to support diverse learners.

Foster a Sense of Community

Engage actively in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment. Our approach prioritizes relationship-building among tutors, students, and families, ensuring everyone feels valued and supported.

Collaborate for Growth

Participate in regular meetings, workshops, and feedback sessions to enhance teaching practices and ensure alignment with CORE’s mission and values.

By cultivating this culture of collaboration, CORE ensures that tutors feel empowered and connected, making their teaching experience both impactful and fulfilling. Together, we strive to make a difference in the lives of the students we serve.

Tutor testimonials

Despite having over six years of teaching under my belt, I find tutoring at CORE to be a unique experience. I love to witness the positive impact that CORE tutoring has on these students who may lack additional learning support structures outside of their regular school environment. Noticing students’ improvement in each session serves as a powerful motivator, prompting me to think about more engaging activities and inspire them toward success.
