Equity & Human Rights (EQHR)

Equity & Human Rights leads efforts at UVic to promote equity, fairness and inclusion in both employment and education. EQHR supports the university community by offering resources and response options for those affected by discrimination, harassment or sexualized violence. Services include voluntary resolution processes, human rights complaint investigations and educational programming.

UVic Sexualized Violence Resource Office

Located within EQHR, the Sexualized Violence Resource Office provides confidential, compassionate and non-judgmental support to any UVic community member impacted by sexualized violence. The office is the place to make a disclosure and seek a range of services, including personalized advice, education, coaching and referrals to additional support resources.

Human Resources

If you're experiencing health-related issues that make it difficult to work or to return to work, HR's Work Life Consultants are a great support. They are a resource for liaising with the medical community, interpreting medical information, ensuring appropriate accommodations and more.

Plus, managers can reach out to their assigned HR Consultant for help with understanding HR policies, interpreting collective agreements, coaching and more.
