Allan and Ora Jones Bursary

Allan Ernest Brierley Jones (April 3, 1923 - October 1, 2014)

Allan was born and raised in Victoria, where he lived all his life. A graduate of Victoria High School, Victoria College and UBC's Faculty of Social Work, Allan spent a long career in conections with the BC Attorney General's Department on Vancouver Island.

Always devoted to family, Allan was a man of strong opinions, many interests and forthright humour. His love of dogs, art, Canadiana and books of all kinds lives on in us all. As a young man he was a superb stage actor and he developed a life-long interest in competitive sport, excelling in track and field, tennis, soccer and golf, and lawn bowling into his retirement.
