After graduating from UBC with a Bachelor of Applied Science in electrical engineering in 1972, Brian worked for 35 years with BC Tel/TELUS as a telecommunications engineer. He attended numerous accordion music camps in the US and Canada. He also studied accordion with Carmen Carrozza, a foremost classical accordionist who lived in Thornwood, NY.
