Canadian Judicial Indigenous Law Scholar Award

The donors to this award are current or retired judges of superior trial and appellate courts in provinces across Canada. From their personal experience they appreciate that our judicial system needs improvement to address issues facing our Indigenous peoples.

They hope this award will assist Indigenous and other students to learn more about Indigenous justice traditions and how they could be rejuvenated to enable our Canadian justice system to better meet the needs of our Indigenous communities.
