Iranian Student Memorial Scholarships
The University of Victoria and the Iranian Students Association established the Iranian Student Memorial Scholarships to honour the 176 passengers and crew who perished aboard Ukraine International Airlines flight PS752 in Tehran on January 8, 2020. First-year Gustavson School of Business student Roja Omidbahsh was among those who died in the tragedy.
This fund provides annual awards to Iranian and Iranian-Canadian undergraduate and graduate students studying at UVic to continue the legacy of all of the remarkable lives lost, and ensure their names are not forgotten.
