Joseph and Melitta Kandler Scholarship

Joseph and Melitta Kandler provide continuing support for students from Alberta and British Columbia for advanced study in Austria.

Joseph Kandler’s vision of creating lasting links between Canada and the country of his birth has led to the establishment of the Johann Strauss Foundations of Edmonton (1975) and Victoria (1985) in support of music.

The Joseph and Melitta Kandler International Student Exchange with Austria (1988) between the School of Business at the University of Alberta and the Wirtschaftsuniversitaet, Vienna, his alma mater, assists students and faculty in the field of business.
