mistermerv Graduate Scholarship in Writing (Merv Porath)
mistermerv has been a life-long reader of fiction and has been able to vicariously explore a munitions factory in Ajax, Ontario and a wood/coal fuel depot in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Mystery, espionage, and Stephen King are especial favourites.
He has always been impressed with a writer’s creativity, in fact, envious of that ability. Like all gifts of talent, they need to be nurtured and supported and that is the purpose of this award.
