Shelley Lynne Hamilton Memorial Graduate Bursary

Shelley was born in Victoria, BC on April 20, 1968. Shelley was a generous, compassionate, and caring human being who, among other things, enjoyed the outdoors, her cats (Precious and Pepper), movies and the company of her good friends.

Shelley had an extremely traumatic childhood. She was exposed to things no human being should endure, especially a child. Despite the aforementioned, Shelley put herself through school and was about to enroll into a graduate program in counselling psychology at the University of Victoria when she passed away suddenly on June 17, 1992, at the age of 24.

Shelley’s dream was to become a professional counsellor so she could help others and make a difference in their lives. Sadly, she didn’t get this opportunity due to her untimely death. This bursary was created in her memory. By enrolling in the graduate program in counselling psychology you are, among other things, making her dream come true.
