Sheryl Fjellgaard Memorial Bursary in Theatre

SHERYL FJELLGAARD, (1958-2003)

Sheryl Fjellgaard graduated from the University of Victoria with a BFA degree (Theatre major) in 1980.  She was involved in local theatre for more than 20 years and acted in roles at The Belfry, Bastion Theatre, Intrepid Theatre, Kaleidoscope Theatre, the Story Theatre Touring Company, Expo ’86, the Western Fringe Festival Tour, the Campbell River Festival, the Nanaimo Festival, and the Victoria Shakespeare Festival. 

In addition to acting, she enjoyed and developed skills in music therapy, clowning, the Grotowski Method, mask-making, puppetry, dance, improvisation, guitar and voice.
