Award for Student Refugees
The University of Victoria Award for Student Refugees was created in response to the Syrian Refugee Crisis by UVic faculty and staff beginning in 2015.
Through their generous support and a significant donation made by a private donor in 2019, both of which were matched by the University of Victoria, the Award for Student Refugees was established providing ongoing support to refugee students and their families from around the world and welcoming them as new immigrants to our community.
