Tom Perry Award for Social Responsibility

Tom Perry (1938-1990)

Thomas John Perry was born in San Francisco and studied Chemistry at San Francisco State University.  He graduated with a teacher’s credential from Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, taught primary school on Salt Spring Island, then studied psychology at the University of Victoria. 

He graduated from the Master’s programme in 1983 and was working on his PhD at the time of his death. 

During his time in Victoria he was active in many events related to environmental and humanitarian causes.
