Vancouver Island Women's Basketball Award
After graduating from St. Michaels University School, Joanna Bateson (née Holdsworth) attended UVic from 1996 to 2001.
She played under Kathy Shields for five years and completed a BComm degree. Joanna's intention for this award is not to be recognized personally—but rather to help seed an endowment in which other alumni might be keen to paiticipate (in whatever measure) through a shared desire to support the development and education of local basketball players.
