Sea levels rise on Bench Landing in Vancouver

Geography department faculty member Dr. Xuebin Zhang was recently interviewed for a CTV News article where he spoke about the threat posed to Vancouver International Airport due to rising sea levels and severe flooding. The article comes after a recent report from the Senate of Canada which aimed to diagnose the risks faced by critical transport infrastructure amid the growing climate crisis. The report focused on YVR as one of four case studies used to better develop frameworks for adapting to climate change.
