Second bachelor's degree
If you previously completed a four-year bachelor's degree at a recognized post-secondary institution, you can apply for a second bachelor's degree at UVic. Before submitting your application, review the information on second bachelor's degrees in the academic calendar.
Please note that we are unable to accommodate all applications for second bachelor's degrees due to high demand for courses. Even if you meet the admission requirements, your application may be denied due to capacity limits.
New students
If you're a new student who has never registered in courses at UVic, submit your application through EducationPlannerBC.
How to apply
- Follow the standard process to apply for admission to UVic.
- When asked, indicate that you're applying for your second bachelor's degree.
Current and returning students
If you're a current or returning student who has registered in courses at UVic, submit your application directly to Undergraduate Admissions.
Application deadlines
- September entry: April 30
- January entry: September 30
- Summer entry: March 31
Transcript evaluation fee
If you completed coursework at another post-secondary institution, an additional fee of $53.00 will apply to evaluate your new transcripts. This fee is assessed after your application and transcripts are received, and you'll be contacted by Undergraduate Admissions with instructions for paying it.
How to apply
- Log in to the UVic online application with your Netlink ID.
- Select "CURRENT/RETURNING UVIC STUDENTS: Change or resume your studies"
- Select "Start a new application" and complete the questions.
- When asked, indicate that you're applying for your second bachelor's degree.
