Academic Accommodations (updated May 12, 2025) - UVic is continuing to provide accommodation supports while we implement access-centred approaches.


Academic Writing Requirement (updated May 7, 2025) - A working group is reviewing UVic's Academic Writing Requirement to ensure it meets the evolving needs of students.


Classroom Recording Working Group (updated May 6, 2025) - A working group has completed its mandate of reviewing the opportunities and challenges associated with classroom lecture recording at UVic.


Course outline guidelines (updated April 10, 2025) - UVic is developing a new course outlines management tool in Brightspace.


UVic announces International Education Strategic Plan 2025 (April 7, 2025) - UVic has published its first International Education Strategic Plan in response to a new provincial requirement.


Budget model review (updated April 2, 2025) - UVic is revising our budget model to better align with our values, principles and priorities.


Travel advisory for faculty visiting the USA (April 1, 2025) - Canadians and foreign nationals traveling to the USA will need to register for stays of longer than 30 days.


Campus-wide service excellence (updated Feb. 27, 2025) - We are surveying faculty and staff stakeholders on the quality of campus services and how areas can be more effective.

Listening Tour 2024/25 (updated May 2, 2025) - Throughout 2024/25, the Vice-President Academic and Provost visited Faculty Councils to hear from faculty.


Faculty of Health (updated May 1, 2025) - UVic's new Faculty of Health became operational on May 1, 2025 and the Faculty welcomed its inaugural Dean, Dr. Tammy Hopper.


Guidance for instructors on winter weather (Dec. 11, 2024) - Guidelines to help faculty and instructors plan for a major snowfall or other extreme weather event.


2024/25 Enrolment Analysis Report (Dec. 11, 2024) - This annual report prepared for the Board of Governors outlines UVic's enrolment projections for the current academic year.


Non-remunerated academic appointments (Oct. 7, 2024) - UVic's new policy sets out conditions for appointing individuals to non-remunerated academic appointments (e.g., adjuncts, affiliates, etc.).


Policy AC1205 renewal (June 24, 2024) - Senate approved revisions to UVic's academic accommodation policy, effective September 1, 2024.


Engagement Tour 2024 (Jan. 2024) - In spring 2024, the Provost engaged with Deans and their leadership teams on institutional priorities and academic planning.

Course delivery modes (Feb. 16, 2022) - Senate has approved new course delivery codes and definitions, effective Winter Session 2022/23.
