Bio

Alexandra is Director of the Sociolinguistics Research Lab at UVic. She is a variationist sociolinguist, specializing in variation and change in varieties of English world-wide. She works primarily on pragmatic and morphosyntactic variability, from both diachronic and synchronic perspectives. She also works on professional and research ethics in linguistics.
