Honours students conduct original research under the supervision of a faculty advisor and complete an honours essay in Spanish.

A major in Hispanic Studies will increase your Spanish language fluency and confidence while deepening your understanding of Hispanic literatures and cultures.

General and minor programs allow you to combine Hispanic Studies with another program area of your choice.

Certificate program

Students who are not completing an honours, major, general or minor in Hispanic Studies may compete a Certificate in Language and Cultural Proficiency: Spanish.
